Rule #6: Protect the Schedule
📖 Part of the GYMHOOD® Discipline Series
You don’t have a time problem.
You have a priority problem.
People say they’re “too busy.”
What they mean is: “I didn’t make time for it.”
Control your day - or your day controls you.
If you don’t schedule the training, the prep, the reading, the recovery -
it won’t happen.
Life doesn’t slow down so you can build better habits.
You have to carve the space.
Then guard it like it matters - because it does.
What changed for me
I used to say I’d train “when I had time.”
But that time never came.
Because work would creep in, people would need something, life would get in the way.
Now? I don’t wait for a gap.
I block the time - then defend it.
I get up early, train first, and build the rest of my day around that.
I don’t fit discipline in.
I build my life around it.
The discipline is in the defence
The schedule doesn’t always go to plan.
But the difference now is - I don’t let distractions win by default.
If something has to move, I reschedule it. I don’t cancel it.
Because once discipline becomes optional, it stops being discipline.
What to do today:
✅ Choose a time slot for tomorrow’s session. Lock it in.
✅ Treat it like a non-negotiable meeting.
✅ Say no to one thing that doesn’t move you forward.
✅ Tag @WearTheMindset / #GYMHOODDiscipline with your time block
You don’t need more time.
You need to protect the time you’ve already got.
🔥 Wear the Mindset. Protect the Schedule.
